This is an Erasmus+ project with 5 Partners from Turkey, Slowakia, Poland, Italy and Greece. The primary goal of our project is to expand the gamification method in our schools by blending traditional training methods with 21st century skills in foreign language teaching. As known it is among the Erasmus + targets that language teaching and learning are to be improved by promoting the awareness in the field of language and cultural diversity.
In our project we strongly want to study especially in this field. Gamification means teaching through playing. We want our students to develop their knowledge in foreign languages, to increase their responsibilities using game techniques and to make foreign language learning an interesting task. For this purpose, 5 partner countries want to realize this project. We are planning to integrate online gaming tools such as Quizizz, Kahoot, Quizlet, Learning apps into our curriculum and encourage students to prepare and play these games exploiting also the flipped classroom approach. In this way, we are going to reduce A level foreign language learning to 2 years, which is spread over at least 4 years in curriculums. The target group of our project is students aged 14-15. Selected students learn English at A2 level and German at A1 level. We want their English level to be B for English and A2 for German in 2 years by amusing themselves and racing each other There are 6 main elements in our project at which they will collect points from every activity they participate in.
